Certification services

To assure the credibility of FSC claims, FSC material must be tracked down stream as they leave the forest and become final products.

FSC requires companies that intend to sell forest products as FSC certified to undergo FSC certification. Those companies include primary and secondary manufacturers, broker/distributors, wholesalers, retailers (that sell to those that intend to make FSC claims), printers and paper merchants.

Here in the US, American Green has officially partnered with GFA to provide FSC Chain-of-Custody certification. GFA is a reputable long-standing FSC-accredited and independent third-party certifier known for fast and reliable service.  While certification contracts are entered directly with, and certificates are issued by GFA, the certification process is managed and supported by American Green on behalf of GFA.

American Green offers complete service starting from the initial review of customer applications, serving as contact body for questions and conducting evaluations of FSC wood streams as required by FSC. This process leads to FSC certification of companies once they have successfully passed. Complete certification management by American Green includes follow-up assistance and auditing service throughout the regular five years term of certification.
